SEISS - Self-employed income support scheme - Circular email

Please note this is for the self-employed only which does NOT include people working through limited companies

The scheme has opened earlier than originally announced and claims are invited from today. The original guidance indicated HMRC would contact those eligible and while they may as they are unlikely to have email addresses it will doubtless be by post. When you apply you are allocated an appointment time although we understand this time is a guide and if missed it can be done later. We are not aware yet if later requires another appointment?

Please be aware you had to be self-employed prior to 5th April 2019, continuing in self-employment now and your business adversely affected by Coronavirus. And for anyone in this situation I would recommend the Bounce Back Loan (application to your bank) which incurs no cost at all for the first twelve months
